Upper Nantahala Fly Fishing

A real treat to fish the upper Nantahala.
First and last cast of the day caught brook trout!
My guide for the afternoon was great.
Can't wait for next year!

Smokey Mountain Vacation

Blue Ridge Parkway View

Paddy is a seasoned camper!

We enjoyed early evening campfires.
Only rained one night!

Halloween at West Branch

If you camp and have kids then the middle of October is the best time
to visit West Branch State Park!

The above pictures were just from one camp site.
They take all week to get ready for Halloween.

The park fills up and campers decorate their individual sites.
The park employees decorate too!

Summer ADK Trip 2017

Started vacation at Geneva State Park.

View from our site at Fish Creek Ponds camp ground.

Very quiet in our section so got to spread out a little.
Generator worked great and parked truck in next site most nights.

Sherie gave us an 8' sit on top kayak so I tested it with Paddy.
Rose paddled it too and likes it a lot.
Thanks Sherie!!!!

Firewood delivered to our site!

Paddy nervous in bike basket but we kept at it and she did better.

Last day at Fish Creek.

Finished vacation back at Geneva.

Heading home.
Rose and Paddy are good campers!

Back to the Adirondacks!

Fish Creek was originally opened in 1920 by the Conservation Commission
with an open camp lean-to and fire rings.

With 6 million acres in the Adirondacks region what's not like here?

It has been a favorite of ours and can't wait to hit the road in June!

There's great fly fishing there too!
